Accreditation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verifiers – Validation and Verification

The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic in accordance with the provisions of Art. 55 par. 1 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2067 on data verification and accreditation of verifiers pursuant to Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (hereinafter the “Regulation”) designated the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) as the national accreditation body.

The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic further determined that SNAS will perform accreditation for the following scope of activities according to Annex I of the Regulation: 1a, 1b, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 98.

Accreditation of greenhouse gas emissions verifiers is performed according to the standard EN ISO/IEC 17029: 2019, EN ISO 14065: 2021 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2067, as amended by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/2084 amending and correcting Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2067 on data verification and accreditation of verifiers under Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The SNAS policy for the accreditation of greenhouse gas emissions verifiers is determined by regulation PL-28. The basic principles concerning applicants for accreditation services are set out in MSA-04. The rules for the use of the SNAS logo and marks are regulated by MSA-02.

The rights, duties and responsibilities of SNAS and conformity assessment bodies are set out in MSA-06. In Annex 1 of MSA-06, in Tab. 1 listed Basic and related documents for the accreditation process and in tab. 9 Basic and related documents for the accreditation of greenhouse gas emissions verifiers.

In the area of accreditation of greenhouse gas emissions verifiers, the Methodical Guidelines for Accreditation MSA-V/01, MSA-V/02, MSA-V/03 and MSA-V/04 apply.

Submission of Application for Accreditation

The application for accreditation service is submitted exclusively through the accreditation information system AIS.
AIS registration is required before the first application for accreditation can be submitted.

When completing the application for accreditation service, it is necessary to insert the completed Annex OA 10.
